How do I start to  design my one-of-a-kind , custom-designed , Inde-Art kitchen ?

First Step! You can  use  IKEA's free planning tool  to build your lay out and forward it to us. If not just send us a sketch of the room with dimensions. Mark where  windows, doors, bulkhead may be. Or any other detail which may be important.

You can set up a free consultation to go over your lay-out and discuss cabinet design over the phone or in person.

Please try include an inspiration photo to give us an idea what your dream kitchen may look like. You can also browse our kitchen & island gallery page for inspiration.

We also offer in-house and home design services ( within GTA) from furniture layout to kitchen & bathroom design. Please contact us for rates and services to meet your needs. 

Do you build doors or complete cabinets ?  

Both. We can build complete cabinets. However you can also buy doors and use your local cabinet maker ( which will bring shipping cost down considerably  is you live outside GTA)  or use IKEA boxes & drawers.

If I just need a facelift?

We can  custom build doors  to fit  your existing  boxes & drawers (including IKEA boxes & drawers). So if your layout works well, use our one-of-a-kind  solid wood doors & drawer panels to truly redefine your existing cabinets.

Do you offer installation service for cabinets or cabinet doors?

Yes we do, within Greater Toronto Area.

Do you also do general contracting? like plumbing ,  dry walls,  electrical , floor & back splash?.

No we do not. We recommend that you hire a local contractor or we can recommend a contractor in our area.

Do you sell counter tops?

Yes we do. . But you can use also use suppliers in your area.

If I live outside Greater Toronto Area how much will the shipping charges be?

Charges depends on your location and the size & number of pieces you purchase. We can provide you with a shipping quote. Usually to ship just the door, charges are  nominal.

Do I have to buy complete kitchen from you? No.  You can choose to do an accent wall or mix & match  base or wall cabinet  with more generic cabinets. You can elevate your kitchen with a Inde-Art  island which may complement the cabinetry. The kitchen below has a generic white cabinet and a custom-designed Inde-Art island made with reclaimed wood.

What materials do you use to construct your custom cabinets or doors?

All custom doors are made from either  solid or reclaimed wood. The cabinet box is made from plywood with real wood veneer which can be  stained to match the  doors.

Are doors and drawers soft close?

Yes they are. We use Blum hinges and slides.

Can you  incorporate corner cabinet storage systems, pullout garbage or recycle systems  and other inserts?

Yes, we can.

What is the approval process?

Custom-designed cabinets or doors require written approval and a 50% deposit. To ensure that cabinets match what you envision we can provide photos at different stages of construction.

What is the lead-time on custom orders?

Typically, doors and cabinets ship 6 to 12 weeks from the time deposit is paid. The lead time are shorter for doors build  locally sourced wood like walnut, pine, barn, poplar wood ,etc.

Can my order be expedited? 

Yes, we can expedite your order to ship in 4 weeks for an additional cost.
